I remember eating grapefruit as a kid, and dumping huge amounts of sugar on it to get the perfect sweet/sour combination. I still really like grapefruit all these years later, but I would rather not have to smother the poor thing in sugar just to get it to my liking.
I found a simple little recipe online that solve my problem, and gives a new little twist. All you need for this recipe is:
- 1 grapefruit
- Honey
First preheat the oven to 175C. Then start by cutting the grapefruit in half, and drizzling each half with honey. I made sure to cover the entire grapefruit, and then added a little extra for taste.
When the over is heated, just bake the honey glazed grapefruit for about 10 min. If you want the top to be a little bit crispy, use the fan setting on the oven for the last 3 minutes or so.
When the honey is bubbling, and edges of the grapefruit are golden, then its finished!
Its a super easy recipe for a quick snack or breakfast, and as a bonus, it is scrumptious!
In retrospect, you might want to make sure that you have a grapefruit spoon or else it becomes a little difficult to eat. Or you can make grapefruit wedges instead for a finger food version.

He started of his show by explaining where the universe comes from, and that if we really think about it, ‘we’re all made from stardust’. By this time, I would guess that about 85-90% of the girls in the room had found their new crush. I would be lying if I said I didn’t find him fascinating myself.
