Law of attraction

No offense to all you hardcore believers out there, but its all bullshit.

The Law of Attraction argues that thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) can affect things outside the head, not just through motivation, but by other means. Essentially, “if you really want something and truly believe it’s possible, you’ll get it.”

According to the Law of Attraction, in order to make my wildest dreams come true I have to do three things;
Ask
Know what you want and ask the universe for it. This is where you need to get clear on what it is you want to create and visualise what you want as being as ‘real’ as possible.
Believe
Feel and behave as if the object of your desire is on its way. Focus your thoughts and your language on what it is you want to attract. You want to feel the feeling of really ‘knowing’ that what you desire is on its way to you, even if you have to trick yourself into believing it – do it.
Receive
Be open to receiving it. Pay attention to your intuitive messages, synchronicities, signs from the Universe to help you along the way as assurance you are on the ‘right’ path. As you align yourself with the Universe and open yourself up to receiving, the very thing you are wanting to manifest will show up.

Yeah, no. I’m just not falling for this shit. Do you really believe a woman that is sterile can ask to be pregnant, believe it will happen, be open to receiving it, and suddenly poof, her medical issues will be gone and she will be able to carry a child? Life doesn’t happen that way. If someone buys a lottery ticket, asks to win, believes it will happen and is open to receiving the prize money, are they guarenteed to win? No. If they do win, well that’s a little something called luck people. No matter how hard George W. Bush believed there to be weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, there wasn’t. But who knows, maybe he just wasn’t open to receiving them. (That last sentence is dripping in sarcasm in case you missed it). My grandma is on her deathbed right now. Now in the past month no matter how many times I have wished for her to get better and just pull through, it hasn’t happened. I have asked for it, I have believed it and trust me, I have been very open to receiving it, but now I’m a realist and I know that it won’t happen. She won’t live forever just because I believe so. Like I said, life doesn’t happen that way.

The Law of Attraction is for people who have their head in the clouds. Its for people who are still wishing on shooting stars, and think that there really is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Its for people who are unhappy with their life, or are wanting something more, but are too lazy to do anything about it. Well let me tell you people something, life is about making things happen. You won’t know the joy of fulfillment until you achieve something through hard work. Call me old fashion, but I believe in blood, sweat and tears.
